About the Masking Tool

The Masking tool allows students to hide distracting areas of the test page.

To mask an area of a test page:

1. To activate the Masking tool, select Masking in the global menu. The button becomes orange.
2. Click and drag across the distracting area of the test page. The selected area becomes dark gray. The tool remains active until you deactivate it.

To deactivate the masking tool:

• Select Masking in the global menu again. The button becomes green. Any masked areas remain on the screen until you remove them.

To remove a masked area from a test page:

• Select X in the upper-right corner of a masked area.
