Request a Password Reset

You'll need to reset your password in any of the following situations:

  • It's the beginning of a new school year.
  • You forgot your password.
  • You didn't activate your account within 15 minutes of when the activation email was sent.
  • The TIDE administrator locked your account.

To request a password reset:

1.Select either of the links included in the activation email. Alternatively, display the Secure Login page by following steps in the section Log in to TIDE and select Reset Password. The Reset Your Password page appears.

2.Enter your TIDE email address, and select Send Link to Email.
TIDE sends you an email containing a link to reset your password.

Hint: The link must be accessed within 15 minutes of the time the email is sent. Otherwise, you will need to restart the password reset process.

3.Select the link in the email to go to the Reset Your Password page in TIDE.

4.In the Password and Re-Enter Password fields, enter a new password for your account.

The password must be at least 12 characters long and include:

  • one lowercase alphabetic character

  • one uppercase alphabetic character

  • one number

  • one special character (for example, %, #, or !)

Your new password cannot be the same as your previous 24 passwords.

5.Select Reset Password. TIDE resets your password.

Alert: You can only reset your password from the Secure Login page. The ability to reset a password from within TIDE has been removed.
